Abstract

The article considers the nature of the biological cycle in the semi-desert zone in the south of Kalmykia. Chemical analysis of edtifier plants growing on saline and brackish soil shows that the content of ash elements and nitrogen in them is closely related to the conditions of their habitat. Black wormwood and especially prutnyak, growing on a more saline salt marsh, unlike chamomile, absorb twice as much sodium. Despite the species differences of saline vegetation, the accumulation series are close and are characterized as sodium-calcium-potassiumnitrogen for the aboveground part and as sodium-potassium-calcium-nitrogen for the roots.
