Abstract

In the conditions of open feedlots of the Republic of Kalmykia, a comparative assessment of the meat productivity of steers raised with various fattening technologies is given: feeding, final feeding and fattening of steers on open feedlots. The conducted studies revealed an additional reserve for increasing the production of high-quality beef due to intensive feeding with final fattening of Kalmyk calves. The use of this technology has helped to increase the profitability of beef production compared to feeding and fattening and to generate additional profits.
